About CJ Evans
I have more than twenty years of experience coaching baseball and softball hitters of all levels -- from 8-year-old beginners to Division I elite college players, professionals, and Olympians. As a player, I was a part of the Western Washington University team that won the 1998 national championship, and was inducted into the hall of fame at WWU in 2011 after setting 12 school hitting records. I have a proven track record of leading athletes to understand the art of hitting and groove their best swing mechanics. I use a combination of customized drills, video analysis, and high intensity individual lessons and group workouts to lead each hitter to reach his or her highest potential.

I call my approach "CJ's Perfect Practice" because I believe wholeheartedly in the wisdom of Vince Lombardi's famous saying: “Practice does not make perfect. Only perfect practice makes perfect.” I find it tragic when dedicated, hard-working athletes stagnate as hitters even after devoting hours to hitting practice. In many cases, too much time is spent reinforcing bad habits instead of grooving good ones. I love working with hard working athletes, and it is my mission to show them how to spend their practice time effectively, building fundamentally-sound hitting mechanics that produce the results they want and deserve.

When I'm not helping other athletes perfect their swings, I spend time with these guys. Love of baseball runs deep in the Evans family.
